Ministry of Agriculture Encourage Downstreaming Sustainable Cocoa Development in Kolaka

Kolaka, February 23, 2023 – The Ministry of Agriculture is again focused on pushing cocoa as a leading commodity from the plantation sector. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, cocoa still play an important role in the Indonesian economy.

The Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo during his visit to Kolaka District, Southeast Sulawesi Province, visited a cocoa plantation location in Konaweha Village, Samaturu Sub-district, as part of the work program of the Ministry of Agriculture for the 2023 fiscal year, in the plantation subsector.

He also revealed the importance of sustainable development which will lead to even better downstream cocoa.
