"PHILANTHROPICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO EMPOWER FARMERS: Strengthening the Role of Philanthropy in Empowering Smallholder Farmers through Access to Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Market Opportunities"

The Indonesian Philanthropy Festival 2025 (FIFest2025) is a catalytic platform that brings together stakeholders from various sectors to drive the advancement of Indonesian philanthropy through dialogue, innovation, and collaboration. Held from August 4–8, 2025, FIFest2025 carries the theme “Philanthropy Culture and Ecosystem for Better Impact: Unlocking the Potential of Philanthropy for the SDGs and the Climate Agenda,” to strengthen philanthropy’s strategic role in achieving sustainable development goals inclusively and sustainably.

Swisscontact, Partnership for Indonesia Sustainable Agriculture (PISAgro), and Cocoa Sustainability Partnership (CSP) held Parallel Session XIX – "PHILANTHROPICAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO EMPOWER FARMERS: Strengthening the Role of Philanthropy in Empowering Smallholder Farmers through Access to Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Market Opportunities". This session seeks to identify the main challenges faced by farmers and formulate collaborations between philanthropy, financial institutions, and the government to expand sustainable agricultural financing schemes.
